In Buddhism, cremation is the most common choice. The body is seen as having been the home of the soul during life, and what matters is that it is treated with respect.
What usually happens at the ceremony?
The funeral is often conducted by one or more monks dressed in saffron robes.
In Asia it is common for the family to wear white robes, and incense is often lit.
